Three Oaks Opera Company

Ms. Palmour is one of the founding artistic directors of this student-based production company. Her position is primarily as stage director, but she has also been instrumental in every aspect of the company including musical direction, coaching, stage management, production, marketing, set design and construction, casting, costume design, make-up design and application, wig design, rehearsal pianist, and trip coordinator for the performances in Florence, Italy!  She founded this company in 2008 and is still at the helm.

International Opera Seminar in Florence, Italy

August 2011 – Ms. Palmour accompanied Three Oaks for a ten-day opera camp based in Tuscany at Villa Cenami. She taught voice lessons, Italian language studies, cultural education (the Vatican, Sistine Chapel in Rome, Puccini Festival in Lucca, Uffizi in Florence) and opera performance at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Florence.

Director of Music Ministries, First Christian Church in Bloomington, Illinois

January 2014-present – Ms. Palmour works on worship planning and coordination for Traditional services. She also conducts the chancel choir, children’s choir, and the handbell choir. She conducts rehearsal on Wednesday evenings as well as administering the department and recruiting members for the ensembles. She also attends staff meetings and worship planning.

Director of Music Ministries, First Christian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona

2013-2014 – Ms. Palmour worked on worship planning and coordination for all services, as well as conducting the chancel choir, praise team, praise band, and the handbell choir. She conducted rehearsals on Wednesday evenings and administered the department and recruit members for the ensembles. She also attended staff meetings and worship planning as well as coordinate and conduct children and youth choirs for special occasions.

Music Director, Belmont United Methodist Church in Richmond Virginia

2006-2011 – Ms. Palmour worked on worship planning and coordination for Sunday and seasonal services for the traditional and contemporary congregations. She conducted chancel choir for traditional services, played piano for contemporary services, conducted Wednesday evening rehearsals, conducted the handbell choir and coordinated and conducted the youth and children’s choirs for special occasions.
